HP33 ERASER
TESTS THE ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT

& ERASE / BOOT THE COUNTER

Boot the program that HP has incorperated in these cartridges with the ink-HP33 Eraser.

This is a simple circuit tester with a built in program that will boot this counter bringing the cartridge back to life.

30 to 50% of HP 21 / 22 / 27 / 28 / 56 / 57 and 58 cartridges have a program built in by HP which will cause these cartridges to read as electronic failures. Do not scrap these cartridges they are fine!
Since june of 2005, these cartridges (HP 21/22/27/28/56/57 and 58), are coming to the market with a kind of memory that informs the printer how many pages were printed with it. When the maximum number of printer pages is reached, the cartridge won’t work, even with a good circuit. The ERASER Function is an exclusive system that is capable of re booting the counter incorporated in these cartridges by HP.

Example:
Cartridge HP 27A (0037/2000)*
When the cartridge has printed 2000 pages (2000/2000)*, the printer software will reject the cartridge.
The ERASER Function can boot this number to restart to 0 (0000/2000)*.

Note that HP’s built in program will kick in randomly. That is to say that it might use the maximum page count function after 1 refill , 3 refills, 5 refills, 10 refills etc. The cartridge does not need to have printed 2000 pages for this to happen
